Nels Thoreson:

Life is an adventure. There is an incredible world out there that needs to be seen and explored, and I hope that some of the services we provide will help you to do that. On a bulletin board in my old classroom, underneath three pictures, read, “Explore”, “Shoot For The Stars”, and, “Have Some Fun”. I am honored to be able to continue these three mottos, while becoming a part of Heart and Soul, LLC
I grew up in rural Wisconsin, and presently reside in Lakewood, Colorado, but I always have a bag packed and ready to go, and I have found that I feel most at home when I am on the road.
I have a degree in Political Science, and also in Professional Writing. I have taught elementary (summer school), worked as an organic farmer in the mountains of Colorado, been a supervisor for the City of Lakewood, Colorado, and I have also been both a lumberjack and a high school football coach in Wisconsin. I returned to Colorado in order to teach kindergarten, and ended up flying to Panama in order to be both a travel writer, and education coordinator, for a world-wide expedition, in which two trucks drove through 6 continents and 70 countries. Recently back from that expedition, I have been giving travel presentations about the trip to preschools and kindergarten classrooms, along with some freelance writing. I am the field manager for a farm in Boulder with a pumpkin patch in the fall, and Christmas Tree sales in December. These occupations coincide with my interests of reading, writing, camping, snowboarding, sports, traveling and music. I am available to provide kind and patient assistance in all types of sports and activities to both children and adults of any age and/or type of special needs.

Heart and Soul, LLC is an additional opportunity for me to explore my passions. Being able to continue to teach, help, or assist people in any way will be an opportunity of a lifetime towards both my personal and professional goals. I look forward to the opportunity and adventures that await me through assisting you in yours.
Antoinette Barnes:

Born in London, England, Tonie moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts at the age of ten, and was raised in a culturally and ethnically diverse family. Tonie studied photography in college, but her nurturing nature has led her to a lifetime of service work assisting others.
Tonie’s work history is as diverse as she is. She began her lifetime of service helping people through volunteer work as a counselor in training with an inner city day camp, when she was just a freshman in high school. She has worked considerably with children struggling through emotional and behavioral disorders ever since.
Tonie's extensive work history includes being a counselor in a residential home for children, where she planned and taught effective life skills, implemented individual behavior management programs, and also served as their special needs (K-6) substitute teacher. Tonie has worked as an administrative assistant, PBX operator, caterer, cashier, and production records associate for Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center in Atlanta, Georgia, and as a Tax Command Clerk/Tax Services Manager, and Mutual Fund Processor for First Command Financial Planning, in Fort Worth, Texas. She currently works with a non-profit organization that helps low-income individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Tonie loves to explore new things. She has studied Homeopathic medicine and herbs for her own health and well-being, and currently plans to become a Homeopathic practitioner. Besides being an extremely hard-worker and a great cook, she thoroughly enjoys music and travel.
